Turmeric is a rhizome that is grown as an annual and looks similar to ginger and galangal. Powdered organic Fairtrade turmeric is bright yellow and has a distinct earthy aroma and a pleasing, sharp, bitter, spicy and lingering depth of flavour. Organic Fairtrade turmeric powder is an essential ingredient for Indian and South East Asian cuisine. Steenbergs was the first company in the UK to offer spices carrying the Fairtrade Mark. Part of my work in clinic is to identity and address the root cause which is responsible for the symptoms a client is experiencing. The most common underlying condition I see is unbalanced hormones.
