Fruity Fizz Infused Water

For a great way to stay hydrated, why not add some natural goodness and wonderful flavour to your water this summer?

Create a fantastically healthy alternative to a fizzy drink by infusing sparkling water with your favourite fruits and vegetables!

This is a quick and easy recipe using some of my favourite flavour combinations for the perfect summer beverage:

Ingredients

• Sparkling water
• Fresh mint
• Mixed berries
• Ice

Method

1. Lightly crush berries in a bowl to extract some of the juices
2. Spoon the semi-crushed berries into your jug or bottle of sparkling water
3. Add fresh mint leaves to taste
4. Add ice
5. Leave to infuse in the fridge for half an hour or so
6. Enjoy!

Variations

Why not try infusing your sparkling water with cucumber, lemon and mint?

Ingredients

• Sparkling water
• Fresh mint
• Cucumber
• Lemon
• Ice

Method

1. Use a vegetable peeler to slice some thin slices of cucumber
2. Cut the lemon in half
3. Squeeze half of the lemon into the sparkling water
4. Slice the other half of the lemon and put the pieces into the water
5. Add some fresh mint leaves to taste
6. Leave to infuse in the fridge for half an hour or so
7. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestion

Keep in the fridge over night and take a bottle of infused goodness to keep you cool and hydrated throughout the day!

I wish you good health!

Consult your doctor or health care practitioner regarding any health problems, before embarking on any new health regimes, using any supplements or before making any changes in prescribed medications or food programmes.

Part of my work in clinic is to identity and address the root cause which is responsible for the symptoms a client is experiencing. The most common underlying condition I see is unbalanced hormones. Once I noticed that balancing hormones leads to the reduction of so many other symptoms, I knew I had to create a simple plan to help people understand and support their hormones.

Follow the plan

  1. Is tonic water ok to drink? Margarita

  2. Hi Margarita,

You are better off having sparking water or soda water. Tonic water still has a lot of sugar. Keep it as an occasional drink, part of an 80:20 lifestyle.

    Hope that helps!
